Blackpool Community Theatre

Our vision extends beyond the theatre walls; we are deeply invested in the community we serve. Blackpool Community Theatre CIC is dedicated to creating a space that encourages participation, collaboration, and connection among its participants. By hosting diverse events like community pantomime, fundraisers, and classes, we aim to make performing arts accessible to everyone, fostering a sense of belonging and unity.

About

Community theatres are vital role in the social fabric of a community. They provide a platform for local talent to showcase their skills, entertain audiences, and foster a sense of community pride. However, community theatres that operate as Community Interest Companies (CICs) take this role a step further by having a clear social mission and reinvesting their profits back into the community.

Fundraising in Blackpool

Fundraising

At our not-for-profit company, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. While we are known for our work in the performing arts and education, our commitment extends beyond these realms. We actively engage in fundraising efforts to support various non-profits.

Bullying Support

We are pleased to announce our bullying support division has launched. Our platform is designed to offer a safe and comforting space where children affected by bullying can seek advice and speak with volunteer staff members. The website aims to provide not only immediate emotional support but also guidance on how to navigate through their experiences.

Open Meetings

We believe in fostering a strong relationship with our community. One of the primary ways we achieve this is through our open meetings. These meetings provide a platform for individuals to come together, share ideas, and engage in discussions about what productions we stage and how we can effectively contribute to our community.

Community Service

At the heart of every thriving community is a concerted effort towards maintaining its beauty and cleanliness. Our dedicated volunteers in Blackpool will come together to combat litter and promote environmental stewardship through organised litter picking events. This initiative not only keeps our local parks and beaches clean but also fosters a sense of community spirit.
